For Germane, Interior Design wasn't her whole life.

 

Equipped with skill sets from her previous experiences at Acorn Training Consultancy as a Freelance Facilitator doing classroom management, facilitation of training and minor teaching roles, effective communication is not an issue for her. Further on her communication skills, she has also part timed as a tuition teacher at LearningMax Education Centre, teaching English and creative writing skills to Primary students.

During her internship period in Singapore Polytechnic, she was tied to TOPOS Design Studio where she was groomed by a drafter to prepare detail drawings and professional layout plans, complete with Photoshop rendering. After graduation and starting adult life, Germane joined an interior architectural consultancy, DII + Associates Pte Ltd. Her drafting skills were again utilised when it came to preparation of tender drawings. Being a small company, one had many roles. Hence, preparation of material boards, 3D modelling in Sketch-up, designing of project, liaising with clients were one of the few being taken up.

Using skill sets acquired from all her previous work experiences, Germane worked for Urban Habitat Design Pte Ltd, an interior design renovation contractor. Here, Germane worked as a Sales Designer. Her job scope includes having to follow up on clients, communicating their requirements and design intend, complete the sales, project manage and liaise with contractors on site.

Germane is currently working in an interior consultancy at Dwell Interior Pte Ltd, dealing mainly with mid to high end design.

Germane is a fast learner and is constantly upgrading herself to add value to her work and her clients.
